ASB Head Coach Taylor in Georgia 1984
Boxing is a sport that requires dedication, hard work & hours of training.
70% of Boxing is conditioning, the other 30% is skills, heart & brains.
There are two types of boxers, one that just trains day after day and the other trains for competition.
We compete monthly in local, state, national tournaments including U.S. Championships, Silver Gloves, Junior Olympics, Golden Gloves & many other tournament/Shows all year long.
Anything can happen when your in the boxing ring. There are no time outs or team mates to depend on. It's all up to you when the bell rings.
Train hard & listen exactly then you will go far with "The Sweet Science" of Boxing.

Code of Conduct
The behavior of our athletes both in & outside of the gym directly reflects on this program. It also reflects the people involved with it, both athlete & coach.
It is imperative that everyone involved with this program represents us in a positive manner. We expect our people to set the hallmark in sportsmanship, conduct & overall behavior.
Here are a few rules and guidelines:
1-Respect the gym. Leave things as you found them. This includes not taking things that aren't yours.
2-Respect other people. Don't mess with other peoples things. Don't interfere with their workout. Don't be a pest.
3-There will be no sparring without headgear, mouthpiece, and supervision.
4-No foul language.
5-When you are here-WORK OUT. The gym is not a playground.
6-If you see something out of place-PICK IT UP!
7-Remember that the people running the gym are volunteers. They don't have to be here. Try to do what you can to make their job easier.
8-You know the difference between right and wrong - DO WHAT'S RIGHT! (If you don't know the difference, ask the coach)
